The story of

I ACTUALLY ASKED GOD TO BECOME HOMELESS

In June 1996, returning home from my mother’s funeral, I went up to her bedroom to have a private conversation with God. I closed my eyes, hoping it was a dream, praying that she would repeat the words I longed to hear, dying to see her smile. Suddenly, a chill came over me. She always told me to use the talents that I was blessed with, or God would give them to someone else.

I began to read through her papers, only to realize that my mother died a very talented woman.  I asked God to use me, help me reach out, and help as many people as possible. Reassurance came to me when my father told me before he closed his eyes for the last time three years later that God would bless me. He made me promise him that I would reach out to those in need.  I want to take this opportunity to thank God. I want to take this gift that God has given me and reach out to those in need.  If I can make a difference. I am ready for this commitment.  I am myself truly blessed.  I copyrighted this in 1997 and became homeless in 2009.
